This elegant interpretation of the cockatoo captures the spirit of one of Australia’s most recognisable birds.
A licensed, ethically sourced emu egg forms the body of the sculpture, complemented by hand-cast sterling silver detailing and carved Tasmanian Blackwood elements, topped with an 18-carat solid Australian gold sulphur crest. Cabochon blue sapphire eyes are a refined finishing touch.
This highly collectable piece is part of a playful yet refined series of sculptural objets d’art celebrating Australia’s unique wildlife—including the Platypus, Bilby, Fairy Penguin, Koala, Wombat and Cockatoo.
Each sculpture has been meticulously crafted by the master silversmiths of W.J. Sanders: from silver casting to gemstone setting, every stage is completed by hand. Individually made and naturally unique, no two pieces are identical.
