A warm and characterful tribute to one of Australia’s most iconic animals, this sculpture reimagines the koala through the distinctive form of an emu egg.

The ethically sourced egg forms the animal’s body, complemented by hand-cast sterling silver features and hand-carved Tasmanian Blackwood elements. Cabochon blue sapphire eyes provide a refined finishing detail.

This highly collectable piece is part of a playful yet refined series of sculptural objets d’art celebrating Australia’s unique wildlife—including the Platypus, Bilby, Fairy Penguin, Koala, Wombat and Cockatoo.

Each sculpture has been meticulously crafted by the master silversmiths of W.J. Sanders: from silver casting to gemstone setting, every stage is completed by hand. Individually made and naturally unique, no two pieces are identical.
