A charming tribute to one of Australia’s most beloved native animals, this sculptural work reimagines the bilby through the distinctive form of an emu egg.
The ethically sourced egg becomes the animal’s body, complemented by hand-cast sterling silver details and finely carved Tasmanian Blackwood elements. Cabochon blue sapphire eyes provide a delicate finishing touch.
This highly collectable piece is part of a playful yet refined series of sculptural objets d’art celebrating Australia’s unique wildlife—including the Platypus, Bilby, Fairy Penguin, Koala, Wombat and Cockatoo.
Each sculpture has been meticulously crafted by the master silversmiths of W.J. Sanders: from silver casting to gemstone setting, every stage is completed by hand. Individually made and naturally unique, no two pieces are identical.
